The first Postamat Cash-In ATM in the Post Office of Via Pellicceria 3, in the province of Florence is now in operation. It allows all holders of a BancoPosta account or a Savings Account not simply to withdraw, but also to deposit cash. The services of Florence’s Postamat are available during opening hours, Mondays to Fridays, from 8:20 a.m. to 7:05 p.m. and on Saturdays until 12:35 p.m.
Also in Prato, the first Postamat Cash-In ATM in the Post Office of Via Arcivescovo Martini, is now regularly working 24/7 all year round. The Post Office’s opening hours are 8:20 a.m. - 7:05 p.m. from Mondays to Fridays and 8:20 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Saturdays.
Paying in cash is quick and easy: after inserting your Postamat Card or Savings Account Card, the “cash deposit” option which appears on the screen needs to be selected. Your PIN number will then be required in order to insert bills, from 5 to 100 euros, in the dedicated slot. Bills must be in good condition, without rubber bands or staples.

Once the bills have been inserted, a recap of the transaction will appear on the screen, indicating the number of bills and the partial amount for each banknote denomination, followed by the total amount of the operation.
The customer will be able to choose whether to add further money to the deposit or to just confirm the operation; in the latter case a receipt with the details of the transaction will be printed.
In addition to the innovative Cash-In service, the Postamat will preserve its main features, such as the high brightness digital screen, the innovative money dispenser which is protected by modern security systems and includes an ink staining procedure and an anti-skimming solution, to prevent credit card cloning. The Postamat also allows a lot of further operations such as the payment of utility bills and Post Office current account payments, as well account balance inquiries and statements, mobile and Postepay card top-ups.
