The LRE/EGO-CreaNET look forward to advance a "Virtual Learning Consortium" with the "Cooperazione Italiana Nord Sud" and the Faculty of Tropical Agriculture of the University of Florence, aiming to grow up a section of the project BLU.eS, for improving the cooperation with Somali Land . The project idea VIRTUAL EDUCATION LONG-DISTANCE UNIVERSITY -NET starts from the consideration that in the knowledge management, becomes the new critical resource to the sustainable development in the contemporary new economy.

In fact the old economy, fossil fuels and raw materials etc.. were fundamental for any development; in spite of this today, the new core resource of the new economy is the knowledge management. So that is very important mature the the cultural environment to develop a WWW advanced educational co-operation.
As a matter of facts, via just-in-time internet training, the most up-to-date knowledge , can now be made easy accessible to everyone in every internet connected place of the entire world; hence the WWW advanced educational co-operation, becomes a critical competitive factor that is extremely necessary even to elude a new marginalization of the underdeveloped countries.
Therefore the LRE/EGO-CreaNET, knowing that the knowledge management can be made available anywhere anytime, think that today becomes possible through distant e.learning actuate the project of the VIRTUAL EDUCATION LONG-DISTANCE UNIVERSITY-NET as well as a specific project for building up online learning community in the scientific & educational co-operation between Italy and Somali Land.
In this general context VIRTUAL EDUCATION LONG-DISTANCE UNIVERSITY-NET will aim to emphasize the following issues: a) inter networking learning telecommunications, b) integration of sciences for tropical agricultural development, and natural resources economy c) advanced knowledge environment resources management ;d) e-business strategies for improving the commercial development of agriculture in Somali land.
Learning materials and resources will be specially developed and tailored to the needs of the networked learners when this preliminary proposal will find the necessary circumstances to be accepted.
Technologies for Interactive Distance Learning can be guaranteed by the Education TV center of the University of Florence.

A preliminary agreement with the Director of the Florence University on line Editor is well established.
