The Council of the European Athletic Association approved Florence / ITA as the host of the SPAR European Cup 2005. It will be the second time that the best eight European national teams men and women will compete in Tuscany. In 2003 the SPAR European Cup was the inaugurating event for the newly constructed stadium Luigi Ridolfi. The remaining aspect for the event on the 18/19 June is the final timetable which has to be agreed with the EBU.
