"Finale di Partita" is an exhibition representing a final phase in the history of art that began in Florence in the Humanistic and pre-Renaissance time and has been consumed in the course of this century.
The exhibition has been articulated through stanzes, stanza in the Italian meaning of room and stanza as the component of a poetic composition. Participating artists come from different cultures, with different backgrounds and belong to different generations, but they all participate in the complexity and multiplicity that characterize our contemporary world.
The different media utilized by the artists also reflects this complexity: painting, sculpture, photography, film, video, installation and performance art, but in reality they are no more than the different components that make up the work and that become and remain the work of art.
The final purpose of the exhibition is to bring back to Florence the last round of a game that was started centuries ago, and to test the potential more than to prove its effectiveness and effect.
This exhibition, organized by Biagiotti Progetto Arte Cultural Association, with the collaboration of the French Institute of Florence is part of the event "Natale a Firenze" ("Christmas in Florence") created by Contempoanea Progetti S.r.l.
and is sponsored by the City of Florence, The Chamber of Commerce, Firenze Expo, Florence Airport and numerous other organizations.
